UB FIGG is a private equity fund investing in innovative growth companies accelerating the use of renewable bio-based materials. We focus on the packaging, building products and biochemicals industries. The first UB FIGG fund started its operation in January 2023 and has EUR 114 million in commitments. The fund has a pan-European investment scope and can invest EUR 5-20 million per portfolio company. UB FIGG’s Partners and Advisory Board consist of highly experienced experts in the forest industry, corporate finance and growth entrepreneurship.

 

Through its investments, the fund helps the bio-based industries to create solutions to mitigate climate change. UB FIGG is a signatory of Operating Principles for Impact Management and reports on the environmental and climate impact of its investments.

 

The fund's alternative investment fund manager is UB Fund Management Company Ltd, which is a part of the United Bankers Plc group. United Bankers is a Helsinki-based Financial Services group. Founded in 1986, United Bankers started its business in securities brokerage. Today, the company's business areas include Asset and Wealth Management and Capital Markets services. United Bankers has been listed on the Nasdaq OMX First North Growth Market since 2014 and moved on to the main market of Nasdaq Helsinki in June 2020.
