David Walker

David Walker is a Senior Partner and a member of the IC at UB FIGG. He is one of the founding partners of the Fund.

Experience 

David has over 35 years of management consulting, investment advisory and private equity experience focused on the forest products, renewable energy and environmental sectors. Prior to joining UB FIGG, David managed Kauri Capital, an independent strategic and transactional advisory firm he founded in 2010.

Prior to founding Kauri Capital, David was Managing Director and Head of Global Forestry, Pulp, Paper, Packaging and Building Products at Macquarie Capital. This was preceded by various positions in the Pöyry Group, including President of Asia-Pacific, President of Global Consulting and Chairman of the global corporate finance group Pöyry Capital.

David has held several positions of trust at cultural, educational and business societies.

David is a CFA charterholder and holds a BCA (Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington.
