Rainer Häggblom

Rainer Häggblom is a Senior Partner and a member of the IC at UB FIGG. He is one of the founding partners of the Fund.

Experience 

Rainer is a recognised global expert in the forest industry cluster. He has been running a corporate finance advisory boutique and a management consultancy, Häggblom & Partners and Vision Hunters, since 2008. This was preceded by a long career in the Pöyry Group, where he was Chairman and CEO of Pöyry Consulting. He has participated in strategy and investment planning and M&A assignments in more than 50 countries and for a wide variety of companies.

Rainer has held dozens of board memberships mainly in forest industry groups including several listed companies, including current positions at e.g. The Forest Company, New Forests, Empower and United Bankers. Additionally, Rainer has held several positions of trust at governmental organisations, nature societies, sports and cultural societies and business societies.

Rainer holds a M.Sc. in Forestry from University of Helsinki, a M.Sc. in Economics from Helsinki School of Economics and has completed management training at INSEAD.
